Here's another wonderful Argo-Cadet Classic, and seminal Chicago hard bop side by my main man, Roosevelt 'Baby Face' Willette! Willette is mostly known as a collector's favorite for his work on Blue Note, but his two sides on Argo are vastly superior, musically that is if not as collectible. This side also has my favorite Don Bronstein cover which is quite striking. Just OK fidelity off a rather worn but well loved first pressing.

  2. In addition to Behind the 8 Ball and Mo Rock, Willette recorded a date for Cadet in 1965 which was never released. I wonder if the unissued session exists or was destroyed in the 2008 Universal fire. Here are the details of the unissued Willette session:
