This side has great personal sentimental value as it was the very first Argo that I ever encountered, quite by accident. Certainly one of the commonest Argos, I didn't pay it much attention again until I recently acquired an original mono pressing which was a revelation - this is one great Chicago soul jazz side with the master - Roosevelt 'Baby Face' Willette! Great production from the ubiquitous Esmond Edwards with a very cool Don Bronstein cover, and you've got a side to rival the best Blue Notes or Prestiges.

I've always thought that Willette may have played even better on this and Behind the Eight Ball than on his BN leader sides but I've never been all that thrilled with this guitar player
