This is a killer Shirley collaboration with Clark Terry recorded in the summer of 1966, and then only released in 1968 to mostly mild indifference. It's a shame because this a great side with Shirley at her most straight ahead and swingiest, a bit of a departure from her usual chitlins/soul jazz groove. Great liner photo of Shirley taking a drag: what a cool and hip lady!
Record wasn't in the best pristine/mint (i.e 'Moon') condition, but that just adds to the vintage charm - somebody really enjoyed this side and I hope you do as well.
