Passing Through

As promised here's some more rare sides that have never made it to CD - in fact any type of digital format. A bit of a departure from the usual stuff posted on this blog - one of the ultimate rare Impulse sides - in this case one of the lost folk records that came out in the initial 100 level issues of Impulse. For Impulse! completetists only - I'm not sure I actually like this record - the first side is kinda interesting and of its time - but I was a little bored as I hit side two. Nevertheless as a historical document it deserves to be heard again by the general public and not locked away in Universal's corporate vaults forever.

  1. Never expected to be able to explore this terra incognita of the Impulse world. Many thanks for sharing this with us!
Don't know how often i stared at my Impulse list and wondered what kind of records A 24 and A 25 might be.

There's one more almost unknown early Impulse side: A 44 - Beverly Jenkins - Gordon Jenkins Presents My Wife the Blues Singer.

Any hope it will pop up here too one day?
