This is quite the oddity in the original Argo catalog. European Jazz on Argo? This is the side by the Swedish pianist Rune Ofwerman; Side A is an interesting exercise in the 'jazz with voices' canon, while Side B is a nice instrumental groove, where Ofwerman is joined by two expatriate jazz men on the LP's final two cuts. I'm not exactly sure of the providence of this side ; was it just purchased by Chess as a American reissue? No idea, but worth a listen. Fidelity excellent.

Wonderful posts, all of your choices, and I'm hoping this one will be as good as the cover! Thanks for educating me on some of these artists.
