I think this is perhaps the strongest overall side of the Ramsey Lewis Trio's Argo output of the early 60s. It's a very pleasant program comprised of the trio's takes of an adaption of an aria from the opera Tosca, a Scottish folk song, an American folk song and a classical melody along with some originals. It all sounds so deceptively commercial and pop orientated, but underneath there's some great skill and exquisite musicianship demonstrated by all three players to pull it all off so effortlessly... Acceptable fidelity off the original Argo mono deep groove vinyl.
