Continuing my Ramsey Lewis Argo series, this is a nice side with the trio's take on the then burgeoning Bossa Nova craze of 1962-63. Unlike a myriad of other jazz artists who tried to capitalize on the movement, this is a credible take that ages rather well, probably thanks to the guest Brazilian players that the trio recruited to the session. Good fidelity off the original Argo mono deep groove vinyl.

    It's not really the bossa who bossas but very much a different approach from these folks.
    It's very interesting to hear them that way.
    I'm happy with this add.
