Continuing my series on obscure Argos, here's another rarity from the 400o series - Johnny Hamlin Quintet featuring Marci Miller! I didn't really know what to expect from this side, but was pleasantly surprised to discover an energetic and quite enjoyable swing/big band side with nice vocals by Marci Miller.

Slightly old fashioned even for its release in 1961, this is commercial pop jazz for the supper club set (your grandparents)
, executed by some good professional players. Nothing groundbreaking here, but I smiled when I put this side on my turntable. Ok fidelity after some slight restoration from the original white Promo Argo vinyl.

Get it
