Regular visitors of this blog will already be familiar with my fascination with Prestige's myriad of sub labels and subsidiaries of the early 1960s: Prestige International, Near East, Lively Arts, Moodsville etc. However, once was an amusing collecting side hobby has turned into a bit of a collecting black hole e.g a lot of time, energy and research spent on non-jazz recordings - yet the obsession continues!

Anyway, here's the first of my three contributions this month which will cover the most obscure of these subsidiaries- the Prestige Irish label - Margaret Barry and Michael Gorman's The Blarney Stone! This side is traditional Irish pub music - fiddlers and jigs etc..
